Doctor of Ministry Program admissions requirements

  1. The applicant must be a born-again Christian, clearly called by God and willing to serve the Lord.
  2. The applicant must hold a Master of Divinity degree or its equivalent.  Equivalency is determined after a review of transcripts and catalog of the graduate theological institution attended.
  3. A minimum GPA of 3.0 in all graduate-level courses is required.
  4. Proof of engagement in full-time ministry for at least three years after obtaining the M.Div. Degree is required.  The applicant must remain in full-time Christian ministry while pursuing the D.Min. and endorsed by the church/organization that he/she is serving.
  5. If the applicant’s education, Bachelor degree or above, is in a language other than English, a TOEFL score must be provided.  The TOEFL score must be in accordance with the United State government’s requirements for applying for admission.  If the applicant satisfies all the admissions requirements except for the TOEFL score, he/she can enter the degree program as a probationary student but must take an English class with a passing grade in the first year of enrollment.
  6. Interview with the Director of Doctor of Ministry program.
  7. Applicant must complete a full application package with a non-refundable Application Fee.  Documentation, with fees, must be submitted to the Admissions Office or postmarked by the admission deadline.
  8. Required documentation for application to the Doctor’s program:
    1. Application for admission (Forms 100)
    2. Doctrinal Statement & Student Code of Conduct (Form 101)
    3. A Biographical Summary (Form 110)
    4. A Statement of Conversion & Call to Ministry (Form 111)
    5. Three References (Forms 112, 113 and 114)
    6. U.S. residents must show their social security card and submit proof of U.S. legal residency.  Any one of the following documents is considered as a proof:  valid green card / U.S. passport / I-94 with I-551.
    7. A non-refundable application fee of $50
    8. All official transcripts (Unofficial transcripts may be submitted as preliminary consideration)
    9. If a TOFEL score needs to be submitted, it must be in accordance with the United States government’s requirements for admission.
    10. Ministry experience validation (Form 150)
    11. Institutional approval for study (Form 151)

M.A. in Church Ministry Studies Program admissions requirements

  1. The applicant must be a born-again Christian, clearly called by God and willing to serve the Lord.
  2. The applicant must be a mature Christian, an active member of his/her church, and actively serving in his/her church ministries.
  3. The applicant must hold a bachelor’s or higher degree from a regionally accredited 4-year institution, with an overall GPA of 2.5 or better, or where a GPA of 2.75 or higher was achieved in the last 60-semester units.
  4. If the applicant’s education, Bachelor degree or above, is in a language other than English, a TOEFL score must be provided.  The TOEFL score must be in accordance with the United State government’s requirements for applying for admission.  If the applicant satisfies all the admissions requirements except for the TOEFL score, he/she can enter the degree program as a probationary student but must take an English class with a passing grade in the first year of enrollment.

Certificate Program in Church Ministry admissions requirements

  1. The applicant must be at least 18 years of age.
  2. The applicant must have made a profession of Christian faith.
  3. The applicant must be an active member of a local church.
  4. The applicant must have completed high school or has obtained a High School Equivalency Diploma, such as GED.
  5. Documentation, with fees, must be submitted to the Admissions Office or postmarked by the admission deadline.
  6. Required documentation for application to the Certificate Program:
    1. Application for admission (Forms 100)
    2. Doctrinal Statement & Student Code of Conduct (Form 101)
    3. A non-refundable application fee of $50
    4. Proof of Residency, such as Social Security Card and any one of the followings: valid green card, valid U.S. passport, valid I-94 with I-551.

After Filing for Application:

  1. Applicants will be notified of:
    1. items needed to complete file;
    2. a confirmation of the entrance tests date, if applicable;
    3. an interview appointment, if necessary.
  2. An admissions decision notification will be sent to the applicant
  3. Interview with the Program Committee or Admissions Committee.

Documentation and admissions application must be filed with the Admissions of Truth Theological Seminary, postmarked prior to the deadline of the expected first enrollment.  Check the current Academic Calendar for registration dates and the Class Schedule online from TTS’ Website.
